Unique Events - Wine Tasting Event Zagreb

Vinart Grand Tasting is a unique set of events dedicated to wine. The grand finale of the two-week event is the Wine Fair, which takes place at the Lauba House of People and Art. The fifth edition of the fair will be held on March 6 and 7, 2020, when the 120 best and most interesting wineries, previously selected by the organizer, will be reunited in Zagreb. This is definitely an unavoidable place for anyone who wants to get serious about wine.


This wine event in Zagreb is being held at a time when wines from the previous vintage are ready for presentation, and most of the restaurants from the coast are preparing for the new tourist season. All business visitors, sommeliers, caterers, F&B managers, sellers and distributors are provided with free admission to the fair, with pre-registration on the event website. "We always strive for excellence, and so we want to encourage Croatian caterers to pay more attention to the choice of wine they select for their restaurants.. Therefore, we selected good wines from all Croatian regions, in different price ranges, and enabled them to try them all in one place. That is why, year after year, we care about the quality of the content, the business atmosphere and the overall experience, "said project author Saša Špiranec. In addition to the fair in Lauba, visitors will be able to get to know some of the best Croatian wineries through vertical tasting at workshops that will take place on February 28 and 29, and March 4 and 5 at the Forum Convention Center. Workshop schedules and tickets will soon be available on the fair's website.

Private visitors are also welcome, who, by purchasing a daily ticket at a price of 150 kuna, get an insight into the best of Croatian wine production, and a voucher of 40 kuna, which they can use at the Pop-up Vinoteka at the fair or on the trip home by taxi. You can buy tickets on the Fair days at the Lauba entrance. 


Special efforts are being made by the organizers to select and bring key wine authorities from Europe and the United States, and representatives of Decanter, Wine Enthusiast, The Independent, The Wine Bible, The World of Fine Wine, The Drinks Business and many more that will be present at the fair.. "We want to show the richness of Croatian wine production to prominent wine connoisseurs, and therefore slowly place Croatia on the wine map of the world. We have invested a lot to bring together important experts here and we are sure that the word about Croatian wines will resonate in the world, ”says Špiranec.
