Car Museum Ferdinand Budicki is important for Zagreb, because apart from their basic exhibits of oldtimer cars, motorcycles and bicycles, the Museum held numerous thematic exhibitions of photographs, technical workshops, lectures and debates, the restoration of vehicles, film screenings and other events that are associated with the presentation and promotion of more than a century long automotive culture in Croatia.

Ferdinand Budicki, after who the Museum is named, was the pioneer of automotive, motorcycle and bicycle sport in Croatia, adventurer, globetrotter and the man who brought the first car in Zagreb in 1901.

So far, the Museum collected a few thousand photos, many of whom has never been seen and are not property of any city or state institution because they were collected from family albums of the first motorists in the region. Also Museum collected a few hours of documentary film materials in the period from 1909 to 1990 on the subject of automobiles in Croatia.

Croatian cultural identity at the beginning of the last century is presented through automotive culture at the Museum Ferdinand Budicki which is a tourist attraction and provides a new view of the city which was from the beginning of motorization part of the developed European society and have followed all social trends that emerged in that time.

The ultimate goal of the Museum is to revitalize too little known part of our city and national history, provide insight into the pioneering period of the beginnings of motorsport in this region, and show the most important events and figures of that time.

The Museum can be reached by tram or car. The nearest tram stop is located on the King Zvonimir street (200 meters from the entrance to the museum). In the courtyard of the museum is a large free parking lot.

The entrance to the Museum Ferdinand Budicki is charged at a price of 30 HRK (3,90 euro) for adults and 20 HRK (2,65 euro) for children. entrance to the museum is free for children under 5 years of age!
