Imagine this: the train stops on a Zagreb station, you step out and when heading to the center of the city, you're being dragged to a dark living room by some invisible force. And then you realize that it's not actually a living room but retro interior of pretty obscure café called Mali grad (The Little City). Many locals are being “dragged“ to it every day, so why not joining them? It's actually one of the greatest places for feeling the authentic daylife of ordinary locals.

In Preradovićeva Street 36 vintage style awaits for you (as well as all kind of digestives). The interior is quite interesting and unconventional: you'll see movie posters on its walls, a vintage gramophone and sewing machine, car flags, hookah and a gas mask (indeed). All the guests are welcome to leave their own mark there so whatever you let, it will be well kept and displayed in a café. Once in a while, Mali grad café organizes exhibitions like cartoon exhibitions, or those related to Zagreb.

Coffee is cheaper in the morning, so come between 7 am and 10 am since you can drink coffee for only 1 euro! Besides, the café can offer you more than 20 types of beer and variety of domestic fruit brandies for 1 euro as well. Friendly atmosphere of Mali grad café will thrill you, especially if you're a rock music or a football fan – they play rock and show football matcheson TV. On weekends you can enjoy in live music too. The café is open every day from 7 am till 2 am and from 9 am till 2 am on weekends.
