Rock'n'Roll theme park
Only two blocks from Zagreb main train station, in courtyard of bar Beertija and night club Klub (Pavla Hatza 16) there is Rock'n'Roll theme park with statuest, busts and rock art installations. This unique project started in september 2013. during the opening of the night club Klub when first life-size sculpture of Joe Strummer (legendary guitarist and the lead vocalist of The Clash) was introduced. From then the courtyard was unofficially named Joe Strummer square and project continued with more art exhibits thematically related to the history of rock. After John Lennon, third was bust of Jimi Hendrix - the legend of rock music and guitar genius with some special connection with Zagreb. Tradition that started back in the 80s, when big graffiti Hendrix was first time written on railway bridge over the river Sava at the south end of Savska street, and since then rewritten by unknown hero every time after painting, makes Jimi Hendrix informal honorary citizen of Zagreb. Later on Jack White (The White Stripes) came and after the death of Tommy Ramone, the last original cast member, there was time for The Ramones sculpture. Less than a year after unveiling the Amy Winehouse statue in London, soul-rock diva emerged in Zagreb Rock'n'Roll theme park. Last summer Nick Cave and Iggy Pop - last two members of Zagreb rock gang join the party.
