Relatively small, pleasantly decorated space with interesting design interventions that receives fifteen or so people. Meals that are offered can be eaten in the restaurant or can be taken to go. The offer can satisfy a big variety of tastes for a low price. Simply, it´s the concept of decent prices for more than an interesting and delicious food combinations. Depending on how hungry you are and what time of day it is, you can choose from dishes that change on daily basis, although the main categories of meals stay permanent: soups, pies, sandwiches and desserts. In Lari&Penati there are usually two or three main dishes (price from the 40 kunas) in the the daily menu, mainly something "out of the oven" - fish, royal meat, chicken, or lamb with a side dish such as baked potatoes with rosemary, potato salad with arugulaand capers or polenta with roasted beet. Fish dishes are particularly popular (fried whiting, confit from tuna…) because they are delicious, unpretentious and you can eat them for more than acceptable prices. If you are not very hungry, but you want to eat something delicious, we recommend you the hot soups, which are actually more stews (eg. a soup with three kinds of beans or lentil soup with boiled ham), or pie (French quiche - for example, leeks + goat cheese + bacon) for just 20 or 14 kuna. If you just want to sit down for a glass of wine (which costs about 20 kunas) you can nibble spicy almonds, crackers with cheese and thyme or try foie gras and hummus.
