Source: geo.de 1.Diocletian's Palace Diocletian's Palace is protected as a UNESCO heritage site, built in the 4th century as the retirement home of Emperor Diocletian. During the summer months, the vestibule and Peristil are used for musical events. Along the south side of the palace where the sea used to splash the walls is today’s city promenade Riva. To get from the Peristil to the Riva, you need to go through the main basement of the palace, and the passage is free of charge. While you are in Split, we advise you to visit a cultural innovation called Diocletian’s Dream, where with the help of VR glasses you can get a closer look at what Diocletian’s Palace once looked like, how people lived, and what the Emperor Diocletian was like. Virtual reality lasts about 15 minutes. You can read more on our blog here.
