Down the history path
Poreč´s most famous sight is the Euphrasian Basilica, also known as the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption Mary - a true example of Byzantine architecture. This episcopal complex includes a basilica, a sacristy, a baptistry and a bell tower. It dates back to the 6th century. This site is UNESCO World Heritage listed since 1997. and it has amazing mosaics.
