Pločnik is the latest conceptual space to hit Zagreb. Covering three floors, the concept successfully melds music with cutting-edge design and quality drinks into one multi-functional space. Pločnik was envisioned as a prime gathering spot for all fans of the vinyl era, and serves as a club, coffee shop and LP store. It was designed by architects of Poop Studio and has over 220 square meters in size, spreading on two floors and a basement level.
During the day, it is a nice spot for a cup of coffee or a talk with friends in the pleasant atmosphere. Yet, in the evening hours, Pločnik becomes a popular nightclub where great music and fine vibes don’t leave until the closing hours.
Go upstairs to the record store, listen to your favourite music and come away with a rare vinyl record, or step into the basement in the evening to check out the club and temporary art gallery.
The place has a fantastic relaxed vibe, it is inviting and comfortable. “We want to gather the crazy hearted, the artists, the music lovers and the weirdos. Our aim is to make you feel at home in our collective living room, where we can enjoy our passions.” So if you count yourself among these categories, be sure to become a guest of Zagreb’s pavement club.
Such an enjoyable combination of spaces isn’t seen very often. They say their mission is “to bring the festival life into the city”, and they accomplish just that – Pločnik will leave you feeling carefree and vibrant with its inspiring communal atmosphere.
