Plan B – Pub & Burger Bar

Located on the opposite side of the road from the Gripe Fortress, the most popular pub and burger bar among locals in the city of Split – Plan B – Pub & Burger Bar – is a great choice for a quick lunch or a casual dinner with friends. It is its location outside the busy city center, which is crowded with tourists during the season, that makes it a frequent choice of locals. However, despite the fact that it is a bit out of reach, it has become famous among tourists, so this place is increasingly hosting foreigners, some of whom have become regular guests.

What to expect?

The space is divided into two: a standard non-smoking area and a Back bar for smokers.  The outdoor terrace is open during the summer. They serve American-style food, so here you will have the opportunity to taste the best burgers in the entire city, which are also available in combinations. In case you can’t decide which burger to choose, we recommend the option with three burgers in a package. In addition to favorite burgers, they serve pizzas from 15 cm to 1 m, wraps, grilled chicken wings, two types of potatoes, onion rings, sea/meat/veggie salads, pasta, and the most popular and recognizable meals: Pun škartoc – pulled chicken/pork/shrimp with cheese in the dough and perfectly soft Bao buns – the pastry of Chinese origin in 3 versions: salmon/veggie/shrimp. They also thought of vegetarians, so veggie food options are also available. For brunch, it is common to choose their omelet or a sandwich with a cup of coffee.

They have the largest choice of domestic and foreign craft beers from around the world whose offer is displayed as part of the decoration on the wall of the restaurant. You will also find a good selection of wines, gin, and more. The atmosphere and decor are industrial and very pleasant and warm due to the dim light. What adds value to this restaurant are the large portions at affordable and reasonable prices.

Tipps & Tricks

What to pay attention to?
Since the location is a bit outside the Old Town, it is best to take a taxi and arrive in 3-5 minutes. In case you go by car, they have a couple of available parking places in front of the facility. However, if there is no space available, local people park at the Gripe Fortress for free and walk down to Plan B.

Keep in mind that this place is quite busy due to its popularity, especially on weekends. Therefore, our warm recommendation is to make a reservation in advance in order to secure a place on time and enjoy the food and atmosphere. The staff is quite approachable, hard-working, and creative. It is quite normal for people here to wait a little longer for food, but be sure that it is worth it.
