First of all, Restaurant Opatija is located in Vrančićeva street 1, in Split. They welcome all lovers of premium steaks, juicy grilled specialties and traditional Dalmatian dishes, prepared from local family farms.
The story of the restaurant “Opatija” starts from the small village of the Dalmatian Hinterland. Most importantly, the most of the ingredients in this restaurant come from there. They own the OPG “Vuletić”, within which they have a pig and poultry farm.
They have the tradition of producing prosciutto and homemade goat cheese, which has lasted for 25 years. But in addition to that, they have achieved excellent cooperation with several other farms. That’s how they procure for example home-made cheese, meat and vegetables. Moreover, they also own the restaurant “Botinero” located in Rogoznica.
Restaurant “Opatija” serves ready-made dishes. For instance beef stew, cod, lamb tripe, boiled beef, roast veal and others. In addition to quality ingredients, the restaurant also boasts its own chambers for serving the highest quality premium steak items. For example Ribeye and T-Bone steaks. Most importantly, the restaurant staff monitors the entire process of maturing the meat. In other words: they control the quality of the meat. Moreover, they prepare the juiciest pieces. To sum up: this will appeal even the most discerning gourmets.
For example, we recommend Beefsteak carpaccio. It is a dish that will change your experience of meat specialties.
Prepared from fresh, homemade pieces of meat, it offers a true pleasure.
During lunch you can enjoy your time on their sunny terrace.
Furthermore, the restaurant offers selected wines of prominent Croatian winemakers. You can try Trnjak, Žilavka and Blatina from the Nuić winery. And also Grk Grgurević, Pošip Intradu from the Krajančić winery, and many more.
In the end, enjoy great homemade food with a glass of high quality wine, all Croatian, all local.
