1. Festivity of Saint Blaise
Where?Church of Saint Blaise, Dubrovnik When? 03.02.2020. Since the year 972, on the 3rd of February, the Day of the Festivity of St. Blaise, people in Dubrovnik open wide the door to the City, while the flight of white doves marks the opening of the Festivity and reminds everyone of the value of freedom – the greatest treasure of Dubrovnik Republic. It begins on Our Lady of Candles or Candlemas on the 2nd of February when white doves, a symbol of freedom and peace, are released in front of the saint's church and by the raising of Blaise's banner in the central place of the Old City – upon Orlando’s Column. In this timeDubrovnik is full of mimosas, daffodils, and true, sunny spring days.The people of Dubrovnik have worshiped St. Blaise as their patron saint, or just their Patron, since the second half of the 10th century.

Where?31.01.-04.02.2020. When? Lazaret On the occasion of the Festivity of Saint Blaise, the traditional Fair returns to Lazarete. It will takea place from January 31, 2020 to February 4, 2020. Here you can find footwear, clothing, forged and wooden items, jewellery, toys, sweets, flowers, OPG products and more. Don't miss these unique, traditional, Croatian products and take them home with you to always remind you of Dubrovnik.

Where?Velika scena, Marin Držić Theatre When?07.02.2020., 6 pm In Dubrovnik, FA Linđo has been living for 50 years. They are a group of enthusiastic and caring people who want to keep the tradition alive through songs and dances. Their aim is: preservation of folk dances, songs and musical instruments and transfer of cultural heritage and customs to the younger generations. On 7th of February they are promoting their new album, so don't miss it! Enjoy some scents of the past and keep the tradition alive!
